Just as a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, even so the wise are not shaken by praise and blame. Even as a deep lake is very clear and still, so do the wise become calm, having heard the teachings.

단단한 바위가 바람에 움직이지 않듯이 이와 같이 지혜로운 사람들은 칭찬과 비난에 흔들리지 않는다. 깊은 호수가 맑고 고요하듯이 지혜로운 사람은 가르침을 듣고 고요해진다.
